Dermalux
Dermalux treatment involves the use of non-invasive LED light to stimulate the skin cells, promoting rejuvenation, healing, and overall improvement in the appearance of the skin.
The treatment can be performed on the face, neck, and body, targeting various skin concerns such as acne, fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, rosacea, and skin inflammation.
Every body is welcome at Buff & Bare. We offer a range of Dermalux treatments – if you’re not sure whether Dermalux is right for you or which treatment to have, please do get in touch and we’ll be happy to discuss it.
How we work
Consultation & Preparation
We’ll have a chat with you to find out about your skin and what you’d like to achieve with a Dermalux treatment. Most people come wanting to see an improvement in their skin tone and condition and we’ll explain the options available.
We will also discuss your medical history to ensure there are no contraindications and talk about any supplements, lotions, creams or oils you may be using on your skin at the moment.
When you come for a repeat appointment, we’ll check with you that nothing has changed.
We’ll then clean and prepare you skin for treatment as well as giving your protective eye wear.
Will it hurt?
We have yet to have a client say that Dermalux is anything except pain free. You may be the exception but we doubt it!
If you’re uncomfortable at any point, always let us know.
The Process
Settle in comfortably on the couch and we’ll carry out the treatment! We’ll place a device emitting LED light close to the skin. The light energy is absorbed by the skin cells, triggering a series of cellular processes.
Different colours of light are used depending on the desired outcome and we’ll let you know what we’re using (if you’d like us to)
If you’re having a “Boost” treatment, you should see an instant boost to your complexion to restore vitality and glow. This treatment can be a one off for a special event or a maintenance treatment after a series of treatments.
Our “Activate” package is an intensive series of 12 treatments. You’ll get the instant boost from the first treatment and then cumulative benefits as the course goes on.
You may also choose to combine a Dermalux treatment with another of our services – do ask your therapist for recommendations.
Treatments are usually completed within half an hour.
After Care
One of the brilliant things about Dermalux is that it requires no downtime after treatment, nor should you experience any pain or discomfort
We’ll let you know when you can use products on the treated area again.
If you experience any unexpected reactions after treatment, please get in touch with us immediately.
